Trend Inspiration | Polaroids

Polaroid’s don’t just have to be used for a photo booth! Get creative with how you decide to use them at your wedding. These throwback Polaroid’s, photographed by Lori and Erin photography, capture family memories at a wedding. To find more great pictures, check out www.LoriandErin.com. Here are some other ways to tie in Polaroid’s to your wedding décor!

{1} Place Cards: These can be cute and very personal! Have a photo shoot for everyone’s name using a chalkboard and stick each picture on a cork to make sure it stands up.
{2} Magnet Favors: Who doesn’t need a magnet to hold up paperwork on their refrigerator? These mini Polaroid magnets will make everyone remember your special day and be useful household item.
{3} Guest Book: A blank book is perfect to have pictures pasted in with a message written to follow! It will be great to look back on in 20 years and see how everyone has changed.

{4} Cake Topper: Cheap and easy! Take a picture of each of you to appear like you are kissing each other.
{5} Invitations: Send multiple photographs out with different information on each!

Trend Inspiration | Scrabble Letters

When it comes to creative wedding ideas, Scrabble letters seem to be all the rage! We love this photo spelling out ‘love’ using the wedding ring and Scrabble letters, photographed by Ultimate Images. Check out their website, www.uiphoto.com, for more great shots like this. Here are some more ideas for how to incorporate scrabble letters into your wedding!

{1} Guest Book: Use a Scrabble board and letters as a guest book! Let your guests get creative and have fun.

{2} Cake Topper: Simple but still looks put together, a cake topper that resembles a sign is perfect for a vintage chic wedding.

{3} Table Numbers: Make your own oversized Scrabble letters for table signs that are large enough to see from far away.

{4} Centerpieces: Using fake flowers? Fill the bottom of your vases with letters for a fun touch. Guests can even use these at their table for games, keeping with the theme!

{5} Favors: Instead of food favors, give out magnet word scrambles using Scrabble letters. Your guests can actually use these at home for their refrigerator.

Trend Inspiration | Beach Wedding

With summer here, and the availability of beaches, couples are choosing to go with laid back beach weddings! Not only does the location tie a beach wedding all together, but the small details throughout the wedding do too. We love this wedding picture photographed by Robin Fox Photography! Check them out at www.RobinFoxPhotography.com for other great shots!

{1} Center Pieces: Using starfish and candles adds to a casual atmosphere for your table centerpieces.

{2} Guest Book: Use natural rocks and have people sign them instead of a traditional guest book.

{3} Bouquet: Love beach flowers and seashells? This bouquet is perfect for a simplistic bride.

{4} Invitations: Set the mood of your wedding early. These invites are sure to tell your guests it is a beach wedding.

{5} Place Cards: Make mini message-in-a-bottles for your guests not only to keep as a favor but also guide them to their table.

Ruby's Blog | Your Wedding Decorations

Hello Brides and Grooms To Be!

I’m Ruby, the Rochester Bride! As a newlywed of the Rochester area, I love sharing my knowledge of the wedding experience with newly engaged couples. This week I can’t wait to share with you some tips and pointers about your wedding decorations!

From simple to extravagant, almost all weddings need decorations. Depending on your tastes and budget there are a variety of choices available which will complement your wedding.

Accent lighting and ribbons create an attractive and alluring ambiance. Another consideration may be the use of props, draping, or custom motifs.

Balloons are festive, affordable, and a unique way of decorating your reception. Beautiful and elegant, they are available in a variety of colors as well as white, silver, gold, or diamond clear.

Unusual and colorful flower designs are available in a wide price range. Use plenty of greenery or combine silk, dried, and fresh flowers for special arrangements and centerpieces.

Other decorations to consider are signs and banners, tissue flowers for cars, paper items such as monogrammed napkins, a special garter, guest book and pen, ring pillow, toasting glasses, a basket to hold favors, money boxes, and candles.
