Trend Tuesday | Hors D'Oeuvres

The time between your ceremony and reception is often crucial for the wedding party to get most of their formal wedding pictures in. In order to keep your guests busy and comfortable it is often a good idea to offer hors d'oeuvres with your signature drink or other spirits. This photo by Lori and Erin photography shows the classic cheese and fruit tray during cocktail hour. For more photos by this duo check out www.lorianderin.com. If you're looking for some non-traditional appetizer ideas for your cocktail hour, here we have created a great list!

{1} Spaghetti and Meatballs: Of course spaghetti and meatballs isn't the ideal snack while standing with a cocktail in one hand, but these kabobs of wrapped spaghetti and a hearty meatball is convenient and delicious!

{2} Caprese Salad: Also on a tooth pick, this caprese salad is light and fresh while also easy to eat with one hand! Who doesn't love cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.

{3} Salmon and Cucumber Mix: On these bamboo miniature forks, is a layer of sliced salmon on top of a cucumber slice with a dill dip in between the two. A very decadent and uniquely delicious mixture!

{4} Fried Raviolis and Sauce: Raviolis are something that any guest will love, so why not try deep frying them! Can you say yum?! With a marinara sauce to dip in these finger foods are to die for.

{5} Chicken and Waffles: A southern treat, chicken and waffles sounds like a strange mixture only to those who have yet to try them. On your wedding day encourage your guests to try something new in bite size portions!
