Ruby's Blog | Alternative Wedding Registry

Hello Bride & Groom’s To Be!

I’m Ruby the Rochester Bride! As a newlywed of the Rochester area, I love sharing my knowledge of the wedding experience with newly engaged couples. This week, I can’t wait to share with you some ideas for your wedding registry!

{1} Hatch My House: This is a perfect registry for those newlyweds trying to save up for their first home. It lets you create an idea of what you are looking for in your first home, whether you need to save up for a down payment or renovations. You can then easily share the info with your friends and family!

{2} Zola:  Rather than going to several different stores for your registry, just go to Zola! It offers many different retail items from lots of different stores. This is a very organized and stress-free way of registering for your wedding!

{3} Registry Rebellion: If you already have a home together, then Registry Rebellion may be perfect for you. Rather than getting your typical house items for your wedding, this lets your friends and family put their gift money towards an activity such as skydiving, scuba diving, white water rafting, bungee jumping, etc. This wedding registry is perfect for adventurous couples!

{4} Honeyfund: This is another great wedding registry if you already have everything you want and need for your home. This will let your friends and family put their gift right into your honeymoon fund. Maybe they would like to pay for a day excursion during your trip, or a romantic dinner for two. This is also great to keep in mind while creating the overall budget for your wedding and honeymoon.

{5} Merci Registry: Looking to add some personality and creativity to your wedding registry? With Merci Registry you can make a custom website with the gifts you would like, and you are able to choose things from all over the world! Friends and family can go on your website, look through your registry and order gifts online. Merci will also show them what has been bought for you and what is still on the list.
